Chancellor Brown previously served as the Vice President of Network Engagement at Achieving the Dream, a prominent national nonprofit focused on implementing evidence-based improvements in community colleges across the country. In this role, she led a network of over 220 institutions spanning 41 states, assisting them in establishing sustainable, campus-wide initiatives to boost student success. Most recently, she was chosen as one of eleven national Designers in Residence by the Education Design Lab, where she collaborated to rethink the role of higher education in closing racial and economic opportunity gaps.

Previously, she contributed her leadership and expertise as a board member for the United Way of Denton, Texas, Presbyterian Hospital of Denton, Texas, and the Greensboro History Museum in North Carolina. She has been actively involved in distinguished professional development programs, including the HERS Leadership Program and the AASCU Millennium Leadership Initiative. Additionally, she holds a graduate certification from the Harvard Institute of Educational Management. Chancellor Brown earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from Wake Forest University, followed by a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. She is married to Mr. Wesley Brown, and they have two children, Joshua Brown and Myliah Brown, as well as one granddaughter, Angelic.

Chancellor Brown is a visionary leader dedicated to advancing student success and equity in higher education. Formerly serving as the Vice President of Network Engagement at Achieving the Dream, a leading national nonprofit, she guided a network of over 220 institutions across 41 states—helping colleges implement sustainable, evidence-based initiatives to improve student outcomes.

Her expertise in fostering institutional change has earned her national recognition. Most recently, she was selected as one of eleven Designers in Residence by the Education Design Lab, where she worked to redefine higher education’s role in bridging racial and economic opportunity gaps. Through her leadership, she continues to shape transformative policies and programs that empower students and institutions alike.
